The Maryland Medical Cannabis Commission (MMCC) allows anyone with the following conditions to register as a medical cannabis patient:

• Severe or chronic pain
• Severe nausea
• Chronic or debilitating disease
• Cancer
• HIV
• Hepatitis C
• Medical condition that causes severe loss of appetite
• Seizures
• Severe or persistent muscle spasms
• Glaucoma
• Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)
• Cachexia
• Anorexia
• Wasting syndrome or Wasting pain
• Any condition that is severe, for which other medical treatments have been ineffective, and if the symptoms “reasonably can be expected to be relieved” by the medical use of Cannabis
